Remember Dynamo?

I am new to Reaktor, although I've been using NI products for quite a few years. Two of my favorite synths/samplers in Dynamo were Formantor and Plasma. Their abilities to play samples forward or backwards from any point within and to "freeze" playback were very useful; as was playback of rythmic loops at differing pitches without changing the speed at which the loop plays. I've been wondering if any of the synths in Reaktor (or the user library) have similar abilities. I would appreciate any input from any who are more up to date than I am.

yeah, i remember testing a demo of Reaktor (some early version) back then, i loved plasma! did anybody manage to recreate/convert that ensemble to R5 maybe? thanks!

 

Plasma was included in the premium library for Reaktor 2 and 3 I think. And that has been available for download from the NI site (not the UL) at some point. Maybe Sowari can shed some light on this!

Yes, i do remember.

Dynamo....the cult-heavy-metal-festival in Groningen

The 90's...
We got there, packed with five people into one old car.
The rain was insane. It was washing away everything and it got dark already.
Under that circumstances we decided to check the city of Groningen.

Somewehere in the town, off the main roads, we stopped our car in the middle of the night.
Suddenly another car stopped in front and some guys got out..

After talking to them shortly about what we are doing there, they invited us to their home.
We sat there, talked **** and smoked it. Met some nice girls. Something seemed wrong cause we didnt know any of them and they were so friendly...and we were all Krauts..u know.
But nothing bad happened at all...and these guys were really funny, gave us their phone number, in the case we need "something special" or just help as long we stay in Netherlands.
You rarely meet such nice people...

The night before, we decided to stay on a camping-site. They rain was heavy.
It was so dark that we couldn't see ****. To avoid the rain we drove with our car over the camping-site to a free spot. The ground was so soft from the rain that the car sank in and drifted. We then made party in our tent.
When the sun came up, we saw, that no other campers had their car on the site and we left deep holes in the grass.

At that morning my friends decided me and another to walk to the owner and tell him, that we destroyed his property. Also the other campers must be pretty pissed, cause we were very loud, and didnt sleep.

The owner was an older man, i tried to explain for 5 minutes, that we arrived in the night and destroyed parts of his green. Scared he might call the cops, when we dont pay for it.
But he couldnt speak english well, and didnt understand us. He tried to tell us, there is absolutly no place for us to stay. (i think he didnt want us young punks)
But we stayed already...

After explaining and waving with the arms for over 5 minutes, i suddenly thought: Stop it, it seems he doesnt want to understand..ok.
I told him many, many thanks for his patience and have a nice day.
He was happy, we too. We didnt pay one cent.

We got in the car and said: Go, just go.


And i didnt see one band..
Other times we hitch-hiked to netherlands, but that a different stories on its own..
