    Hi all,

been having problems with the loop deck/remix deck in Traktor Pro since day 1. I have taken tracks i want to use into Logic, found the correct BPM, and then cut and sliced what i want out of the track and bounced it down the my loops folder.
Now they load fine into Traktor but it is never a seamless loop, there is always a small pause/silence at the end of the loop before it starts again, this also applies if i use the loop in a track deck and loop it through the programme.

I cannot for the life of me figure this one out as all the BPM's are right and the loops have been cut perfectly so what can i do?

    Thanks,
    Scott

I have noticed this type of issue with some samples.
My guess is that some software makes loops sound perfect for the "project" you are working on. my guess. but actually the loop is not perfect.

Anyways try loading the loop into a deck and look at the waveform. Traktor of course beatgrids and has a true picture of the sound.
If the waveform shows a silent spot or imperfections, unfortunately that is the. way the sound was saved. Traktor does not make changes or edit tracks so that is how Logic or what made the sample saved it.

If the sample is able to be looped as you wish n the track deck the only real option is to use that working loop instead.

here is a link to my remix deck tips to aid you in making loops and sets....

    Cheers man!
I'll be sure to check that out,
I know the loops im making are perfect from the wave view in logic.
Perhaps its one of them things?

    hey Scott

wondering if you ever figured that out - I have the same workflow Logic>Traktor and it's driving me crazy.

I don't mind Traktor for DJ'ing but building your own remix decks just seems like a crazy amount of agro - if you figured it out let me know how - I'm thinking of flogging the F1 and going to Ableton.

    any advice appreciated.

    No my friend,
one of lifes mysteries it seems, never really got it to work how i wanted.
I just use tractor for playing tracks straight and use ableton for loops,
major pain but i really can't figure it out without buying 'approved' remix packs.

    Good luck!

I've made plenty of seamless loops in Abelton for remix sets.
One major part of getting a loop to work is to set it at 2/4/8/16 beats(bars)
Even if there is silence in part of the loop if needs to be a loopable value.

Also the grids may be off check the grids in the track deck.
Especially loops that are offset like vocal or noise before the first beat. May detect wrong.
If the loop is set and correct in the track deck. Lock it then drag or load to the remix slot.

If the loops are from music that is varied bpm, the looping action. will not work well either.

Maybe post a screenshot of one of the Troublesome loops in a track deck.

Also when the loops are in a track deck the start and end need to be correct after the grid has been adjusted.
Many times if you apply an effect like delay to a loop you are making in abelton or logic etc. The bpm gets changed a bit or at least recognized different in Traktor.
So what was working as a perfect loop before export now is a tad off in Traktor. Keep in mind before export out of Logic Ableton etc. The effects and applied changes are not actually in the file.
I know this cause many times I have had Abelton set at say 128bpm. But the file ends up a some percent +/-. Like 128.23 bpm instead.
Some things have no or faint bpm to detect. So make sure you set the grids and bpm for those loops in a track deck first to play as a perfect loop. lock the track(loop).
Then put in the remix deck.

    Hope this helps.
