Renaming Sounds

I’m not seeing very much on this but hoping I can fish through these thousands of sounds and rename sounds, from various groups, expansions, etc. so they may be first on the alphabetical list.

My goal is to give kicks a 0-100 tag, snares 101-200, etc. Just the ones I know I like.

I know I can delete the excessive FX there too which I like because my mixing and FX will be done externally to leave more Juice on the M+.

Then I will start new categories for bass, synth, etc.

I can change pattern names which Im grateful for.

Just want to create a workflow early on and avoid the endless wasted time preset diving.

You cant tag content from the library or expansions at all... Unless you edit/copy/move them to a custom user folder.
The whole point of the NKS browsing and tagging experience is that it's consistent, if you want your own system of tags then you have to do the above.

I was trying to follow the touch pad > Shift > button 5 but no rename option visible.
I shall read further into custom folder and where it would reside.

Every one shot I like will be placed there.
Only need a few kits then I’ll make my own 808Bass with Glide, etc.

Then it’s off to the races.
