I wonder if you can order the new Maschine as a replacement controller?

The picture on the box is the first generation Maschine.

I would say that the controller only WILL be the new one but they have shown the old controller. Because at $449 who the hell would pay that for the MK1? But then again maybe they will seeing as the controller + software is gone now. Who knows!

    three points

    • about the hardware upgrade from maschine1 to maschine2, its not very clear. that page needs clarification.
    • 400€ for upgrading only hardware is a lot of money. i will wait for a price drop.
    • maschine1 is still a good general purpose midi interface.

its better! you can grab vol, temp, swing faster with one move, and new one (i think) takes two moves, so you are slower with this controler.

Exactly. Especially when they haven't got any MK1 controllers anyway, 'cos they sold out weeks ago.

I guess the cheapest way to upgrade would appear to sell your version 1 licence and controller second hand and then buy a new version 2.

They don't show anything for the MIKRO as far as controller only. This is crazy, I have Maschine and Maschine Mikro, 1.8 better work with these joints. I'm not feelin' this....they did me the same way with Komplete 7, well at least I was able to crossgrade to Komplete 8 Ultimate.

I would think they would allow a "hardware-only" purchase for existing users of Maschine.

It's only fair. Crossgrade works too.

Wonder if they'll do the same for those of us who already own Massive... maybe? I bought it last time they had a huge 50% off sale. Had I known it was going to be included I wouldn't have spent the money!

Yeah my controllers pads have lost their sensitivity so when the time comes i need a new controller the option to just buy the mkII would make sense.

True, which is why I asked. Hoping maybe the mods might have some more info about that

A hardware only purchase would make sense for existing users to upgrade.
