Go get yourself a block of colored rubber and a CNC machine and see what you can do.

Would replacing the pads affect pad velocity?

Replacing the pads would affect your warranty and potentially your sanity too. They'd have to be transparent anyway for the leds to show through.

I was thinking at sticking some fake wood stickers (the ones that you apply on doors) on the left & right sides of Maschine. To give it a retro look :))

That would actually look pretty sweet.

I'd prefer replacing the LED's instead of the actual Pads. Maybe some blacklight purple colored ones

Yeah go ahead someone do it first! lol
this kinda bothers me, the quality of those rubbery buttons seems like they wont do much good in 5-6 years, somethings bound do happen sometime (i carry it to the studio and back home every day too) i wish at least the transport buttons were hard plastic. Knowing they can be replaced would be comforting!
