NI rarely comment on future developments and it only caused them grief when they announced xdj1000 mk2 support only to then backtrack on TBA decision. If all you're expecting is a reply from NI then the thread would have ended at the first post.

NI Marcus nativeinstruments How can it be that there has been no statement whatsoever about this.

I for one am running into the CDJ3000's often regardless of the Covid situation and am not able to use them. Very much hoping for a quick update in terms of HID support.

Any intention of this coming? I do not want to switch to Rekordbox!

Sorry I normally dont post but I find this thread absolutely ridiculous. This is not Pioneer this is Native Instruments, they don't report to Pioneer nor do they HAVE TO make any of their products compatible with any company. The sooner you realize that the happier you will be.

They don't need to do anything just because "OMG A NEW PLAYER IS OUT THAT'S NOT OURS". you can't expect to be in 2 echo systems form 2 different manufacturers and be happy.

Go with Record Box if you are in the Pioneer echo system.

Native Instruments absolutely has NO OBLIGATION to support Pioneer products. Could they ? Sure, will they? maybe.... But to give a answer because someone DEMANDS it doesn't make sense.

Also If you want to use traktor an$5000 controllers you'd be better off getting XDJ 1000mk1s and spend the rest of your money elsewhere.

If we are in the Pioneer Echo System. Every venue in the world will resort to CDJ 3000's. And wether we use these as controllers which has the exact same functionality as using them with USB, merely means using them in the exact same manner as they are built for.

And i agree this is not about NI's responsibility or obligation to make any of their products compatible with any external company, but as long as the Pioneer gear is the industry standard and NI wants to keep their loyal fanbase, the least they could do is update us on their aim for compatibility.

In an ideal world i can keep using traktor in whatever venue i show up in. I don't DEMAND anything as you so crudely state, I'm merely asking when a source of light and hope will arise that i and my Traktor colleagues don't have to ask venues and promoters to resort to old gear.

hilarious thread, rekordbox is free and a flash drive is $5 - if you're in that world dont add a laptop to a $7000 setup its just cringe at this point in time.

a couple of hours invested in rekordbox will see you traveling around with just a flash drive in your pocket - now i wish i had that luxury so embrace your first world problems.

I sort of agree with what you're saying, but from a promoter's perspective, having to hire multiple units to cater for your varied line up of bookings is a bit pointless.
Why should the support act earning £500 off a booking have to change their desired setup (which is tried and tested and works for them), because the headliner earning £5,000 requested only CDJ3000s?

Touring DJs should have the freedom to choose the tools they want to use, and Native Instruments has built a loyal following for many years on that very basis. End of.

sorry, i think you miss completely the notion of a club standard.

Supporting said club standard - whatever that one is - is the bare minimum to be taken seriously as a DJ system today.

The above statement is neutral. NI could have been the club standard, and Pioneer could be the follower. But its not.

UPDATE: in another thread i’ve found official word that it is on the roadmap. but no ETA of course.
    No surprises for both
