Requirements for Xternal HD for Installing Komplete 12

    Hi,

    Any specifics on HD to be used if installing Komplete on Xternal HD?
    I have Komplete 12 Ultimate and everything I installed so far I did on a Seagate Expansion portable 1TB but now Komplete KOntrol and Maschine wan't startup or takes forever to scan all data. Likely the HD is only 54oorpm...

    I would suggest USB 3.0 external storage device either 1TB SSD (preferred) or 1TB 7200rpm hard disk. Use it solely for storing NI library content and other sample libraries (if space permits).

    Thanks, it seems it was only the 1st scan but I'll see how it goes, It would suck having to use an expensive drive only for storing libraries.

    Hi, I may have to uninstall everything and reinstall on a different HD. I might sell the HD as to risky to store data.
    Issues I have are:
    Protools crashes severely and freezes my entire computer when it happens it's related to NI software.

    NI on their own work fast but long wait time and delays occur when the external HD is accessed.
