    Hello,
After some months i have tried but failed to work with the maschine; too many issues with using with any DAW being my main gripe.
I am wondering how i can move on from this.

While i would normally go straight to ebay i understand there might be a few issues with it being an educational version.

Can i sell this directly on?
    otherwise what can i do?

Thanks, and any help would be really appreciated.

That's poor practice, anybody buying a product should be able to sell it. There must be someone on here with legal experience who can help.

Ah- no. Educational versions come with a sticker saying not for resale, and the license agreement in your documentation folder states this as well. You also agreed to that clause in the EULA when you checked the "I accept" box at the beginning of the install.

Why can't you resell EDU versions? The educational version is sold at a substantial discount in the first place, and how can they guarantee that it will be resold to a person who meets the guidelines for the educational discount? Without that in place, how is it fair to the normal license users?

Yep- you're eligible for full version upgrade deals.

This actually looks like my best option?

Other choices are, well i dont think there really are any..
Im unsure of what the legal implications would be if i was to resell it with educational licence, but i wont follow that thought.

Anyone have an idea on much much this upgrade would cost?
I can only guess its the difference of the education and the retail (£115 in UK)?
non suprisingly i couldnt find much infomation on this.

    Many thanks again

the person who bought it would not be able to register it, and as a result they would not be able to use it.

unless u give him all ur data plus ur e- mail account , but still, who would give u a fair price for a product without the license even if he could use it .

Other the upgrading and then selling i noticed an option to buy the contoller alone.
I presume this is for the purpose of replacing broken and/or missplaced controllers but this showed he theres obviously some sort of market for it (more then likely to accompany the cracked copies i would bet)
I would imagine this to be another option for myself as this would bypass any licence issues.

This would leave me with the software still of which i would have no use for though...

    any comments?

you are on dodgy ground here. users need to install software to use the Controller. and therefore to register it i suspect.

i agree, but then why does the site offer the controler alone?

So that people can have spares- for example, one always in the studio and one in their live rig,
