How can I make Komplete Kontrol window larger ? It opens up very small, and most of the search tags are always hidden, it’s just unusable for me at such small size.

Yep, but it is what it is. Add your voice to the many that have already voted on this in the feature request thread.

Staggering to me that this Komplete Kontrol is still such crippled software, and this is the most egregious example. Anyone can do what we've all wanted to do since v1.0. It's a text file hack. How hard can it possibly be to code this into preferences and do it properly? It can only be deliberate policy to not do it, though I cannot begin to imagine why. Any theories out there?

Because I haven't even tried using it for years, does anyone know if the other big one has been done yet - being able to list what the instrument is in the search results and order results by instrument?

Blows my mind that after nearly a decade, this software still lacks the basic functionality of Kore Player.

I keep coming back to KK once in a while and always keep leaving it.
KK is an amazing concept but it just has to be fixed and designed and organized properly

Same. Been doing just that since launch day. I'm not sure when that was... 2008 maybe? 13 years ago?

The big question is... why? NI do some great software. Why are things that are literally the first things I noticed about it and stopped me using it on day one still unaddressed? I genuinely thought it would all be fixed in a few weeks. I'm struggling to even come up with incompetence (can't take an incompetent person 13 years to put in a resize preference) or conspiracy options (why WOULDN'T they want people to use KK? I have no idea.) It's unfathomable.

I'd love it to be useable, it would be really useful.

Yeah it would be nice to resize the window but TBH limitations aside, the actual usefulness of what is available now outweighs the negatives. Maybe it's because I have learned over the years having to deal with FAR more limitations in systems and software from 25 years ago to now that it's best to work with what you have than pine over what you don't and somehow use that as an excuse for not being able to continue.

If you wanna insight into why things take so long, look at how much time is spent (lost) supporting macOS and Logic issues.

TBH, the advantages don't outweigh the disadvantages for me. I find it so clumsy to work with that it's just easier to search within a relevant synth - it just feels like bloatware otherwise.

Having a permanent fix for the size so it doesn't return 2 visible results, and a way of sorting by instrument would absolutely tip that balance though.

Fair enough, I guess it's just easier for some to look past these simple limits and make use of what it can do.
