Restore X1 back to factory state?

Hey guys! I tried hitting restore in the X1 menu in preferences and it's not working. Furthermore, if I try to change the mapping via the new menu options in 2.0.3, nothing changes as well! Currently I am running a custom mapping but really would just like to reset back to default and build a new mapping from scratch. Any help is much appreciated!

 

Hitting the restore buttong should definitely do the trick, also be aware that when changing the mapping using the new feature in 2.0.3 to hit restore after selecting the mapping from the drop down menu.

If all this doesn't help you can go to the controller manager and delete all Traktor Kontrol X1 related mappings. After that please try to hit restore in the X1 preferences page again.

Also make sure to have the latest version of Traktor, the latest X1 driver and the latest Controller Editor installed!

 

X1 FX1 button top left not lite

Maybe you can help me out?

I've just bought a X1 Controller last week and I am pretty new to this toy. I am running Traktor 2.1 with a Mac book pro 10.6 (Intel). I've installed the driver, etc. as stand alone unit, since I have the traktor software allready installed. It told me that the installation is completed.
When I plug in the X1 controller all lights are flashing for a short period, whch is also seen in tutorials. After that you can see back lights on most of the buttons, but the FX1 button on the top left is not lite. It also does not light up when pressing it.

Is that normal and supposed to be like this?

Go to preferences and go to "Effects" section and on the FX Panel Mode change the FX1 to "Single" (same as FX2 which is on "Single").

Regarding the OP. When you hit restore try and click on "Swap" and see if that helps.

 

Exactly, since the Group Effects mode engages the effect by hitting the buttons 1, 2 or 3 the On button has been disabled in this mode.

Hy there, i've bought a x1 controler second hand and can't succes to install the driver for x1, i downloaded the latest driver from NI and install them right but when i connect the x1 doesn't make anything but flasing all the lights in same time for 0.5 seconds and it apears no driver,
My question is that , it is possible to be damaged the x1? p.s. sorry for my english

Yes, THE x1 won't work, THE lights doesn't fade when i plug in THE USB cable, it lights shortly all and shut Down in miliseconds. I installed all drivers and in the device manager still apears unknown device. I USe Windows 7 ultimate

 

Sounds more like a driver issue. Because Win7 actually detects the X1 and since it lights up for half a second I don't think the X1 is broken. Is it plugged in a USB 3.0 or 2.0?

 

You might have to choose the driver manually as well.

with 3.0 or 2.0, i wave 3 ports of USB and same to all. My USB îs 2.0. I've tried with 3 others computers and same to all

 

I was asking if you have USB 2.0 or 3.0. And you might have to manually choose the driver for the X1.

You can try it but if that fails you really need to choose the driver yourself and not let Windows do it for you.

 

How cannot work when you're telling Windows which driver to use. I have choose drivers manually before when Windows won't recognize my hardware automatically. And choosing it manuallyhas worked for many times.

when i make manually , i browse into the downloads , select Traktor_Kontrol_X1_301_PC_p folder and says windows could not find the driver software for your device
