These were nowhere to be seen at BPM - asked the NI guy on the stand if he new anything and he did the universal sign language of zipping his lips.

When pressed, he said he thinks there will be an 'announcement' within a month an d that they would be priced favourably compared to competitors similar products (1D/2Ds, I guess).

He did say he'd tell me more for £100, but I declined his kind offer...

I hate this 'OOOH SHHHHHHH IT's A BIG SECRET' BS! How god damn immature! It's a midi controller which they've already shown us...what's the big secret! Stop pissing around and release it before I buy something else.

Things have to go through a process. BPM was just another show. The NI controller wasnt shown, its that simple.

I cant believe how bent out of shape people get. All in good time dude.

A&H did exactly the same with the DX, they teased people for ages with that fuzzy photo.

Just above Richies hand at 0.26, I'm almost shure its a Mini... Maybe for fx, he can run it on remote desktop so he wont need a screen for it...

Lol. All that fuss over a box of buttons and encoders right? Would be nice for folks to help themselves and on occasion suss out what they actually need stuff for first before jumping the gun. ;)

Are you guys also hoping for that button that downloads all the tracks Hawtin plays + mixes them with effects and loops?

This sounds like a cool button but I would prefer if it came with Cytherea's button instead - plus cover for erm.. liquid spills. :)

I've just bought a Xone:1d... hope this wont be something I regret with these now looming on the horizon :(

I do like the way how you get a proper visual feedback on each button.

Although I haven't even started to set my 1d up yet so I cant really comment on what I think about the lack of jog-wheel... I may find that I never use it.

I would doubt it. For starters you've got plenty more controls and although the jog wheel is allegedly not amazing it'll still be mighty handy as a big arse encoder and with modifiers there'll be plenty you can do with it.

The NI controllers just look like a Faderfox for people who thought those needed a few more LEDS, a case and a less cramped layout. Time will tell I guess.

Personally, i don't see the problem with having USB connections. Perhaps I'm missing your point or I don't know the technical characteristics of MIDI vs. USB. I'd love it if I could connect my faderfox tru USB. I find it easier. I'd have to use a USB Hub but I wouldn't mind since they're so small.

I have a Xone 4D for my home studio. Rarely do i take it to gigs. Maybe when the new NI controller comes out it'll be time to upgrade the faderfox... We need more info about the controller ASAP NI!

Yep... The Youtube-page promised details "early November". On my opinion, that is now... next week will already be closer to "mid-November" :)
