    Hello,

Just wondering if there's a way to engage automatic tremolo picking when I'm selecting a note? The sustain key switch isn't working for me.

    Thanks

Do you mean automatic "Note Repeat"? if so, there is no Articulation for that. Sustain is what it says it is..it just sustains the note until the keyswitch is released...same as just holding the note down.

Ah so there's no way for me to let's say hold down a G and have it played as a tremolo? I'd need to manually hit the key (using the up/down keyswitch) over and over?

You have to trigger (hit the key) the note over and over, but there is "Automatic Stroke Detection" that switches between Down and Up strokes as you play a note repetitively so you don't have to key switch the up/down stroke, you would use those key switches if you wanted to override the automatic articulation (i.e. "Force all Down Strokes"). Have a look at the Manual for how that works, and the different settings available for that and if you look at the messages that appear at the bottom right of the Instrument Interface (Under the Fretboard) it will show you what articulation is being triggered.

By default with the Rickenbacker, sustain triggers slides rather than sustained notes. Always irked me, I had to edit the script so the sustain sustained :)
