Rig 4.2.0, Win7, Can't import presets

I know this type of thread has nearly been worn out but I need help!

I've got the lastest update, 4.2.0 for Guitar Rig 4 and so far have tried everything to try and import presets. I'm on Windows 7 64 bit with service pack 1, 4 GB ram and a standard sound and graphics card which all works well playing the presets you get with Rig 4.

Is it only a certain file type I can import? I want to try out the acoustic presets.

I've uninstalled the program and started from scratch but with no luck!

Any help will be great and thankful.

You are speaking of the factory presets? not Guitar Rig 3 or other presets you stored or downloaded from the User Library?

I had this same problem in Win 7 and I am sorry but I cannot recallhow or if I fixed it.

Try going to Options tab at the top right of the left frame(kick) and look in the Preferences tab for Restore Factory Content. 8 items down. You can try scanning for presets as well(7 items down).

 

No I'm talking about the user library on here for presets, yeah I've done the reset factory settings, reinstalled etc with no luck. Thanks anyway, I have a feeling its a problem for Window 7 users?

Yeah I have the same problem. I can't seem to get the presets from the user library to move across to GR4. Anyone know how?

Same problem here. I cannot import presets. I've tried all the suggested fixes. I'm also using System 7 on a 4 gig laptop.

 

same problem...if i import or copy the .ksd file in the proper folder it's seems to be added. I open gr 4 and i cant find it in the general list.
Strange thing: Presets like ''tweed funk'' is in the folder but not in the program. Presets i did on my own are imported successfully...kinda strange

I've tried everything, but can't import presets. I've sent emails to NI support but haven't gotten an answer.

I've ordered the GR5 update, we'll see if that works any better for importing presets.
