I am using Rig Kontrol 2 with no success. It shows up in the guitar rig software and clicking the pedals changes the presets etc so I know the USB is working. (I do have USB 2) When I play the guitar the Rig Kontrol imput light lights up green, sometimes red. But there is no output light coming on and there is no output showing up in the Guitar Rig software, so no sound at all.

When i use the software without the rig kontrol it works fine.

    help!

I hate to say this, but I did this the other day at a studio session for 10 min! and then discovered the tuner mute was on. so check those kinda 'dummy' things

I've done that too... Plus one time I spent 10 minutes panicked before a gig only to realize I had the right side turned on, and was plugged into the left. Make sure you have the proper side selected.

I've had exactly the same difficulty. The Rig Kontrol is recognised but isn't carrying sound. Have you had any joy in getting it working yet? None og the recommendations have so far helped and its fantastically frustrating.

Funny I have had some wierd things to, spent about 2 hours installing all the software and trying to get it to work but could not get it to work,

So today I downloaded new driver etc, and had another go, and still no joy, no sound output, or just hiss and nasty noise.

But my main reason was that there is some knobs that turn up the gain, which i dont recall seeing anything in the manual about,

Also it seems it not like my small guitar practice amp constant noise rather annoying, but put the lead in to the mixer no probs at all coming out of the active monitors, again sort of spoils the fact i just wanna sometimes sit down and play into any old amp.

There is some setting for outputs make sure you got them set up right, dont output to the sound card etc output to the outputs on the Rig

    Good Luck

I see people in this forum all the time asking how to run Guitar Rig through an amp. Why?! Why would you run amp and speaker emulation through, an amp? Doesn't this defeat the purpose of the whole idea?

Speakers! Think of it like listening to a CD. You don't need the same equipment used to record the song to hear what was played. The amp was placed in an acoustic space, cranked and recorded. Now you listen to it at any volume you like, on any speaker system you like. This is an awsome concept!

the problem i'm running into seems to be pretty much the same. the rig itself registers input but the software doesn't. there's no indication of any input in the software at all. this problem has really killed my buyers buzz.

also, do i have to attach additional speakers to the back of the rig? shouldn't it just play out through my cpu speakers if i'm using "built-in" output in the preferences menu?
