    Cheers!

After I got myself a "Rig Kontrol 3" on eBay – which works as expected as an audio interface – there are two open questions which remain unanswered even after searching for about an hour on Google and friends:

    1) Can I control Garageband's Wah-Wah pedal with my "Rig Kontrol 3"? If so, how? I would appreciate pointers to good tutorials and suitable documentation, too…

    2) If I use Guitar Rig 5 (currently as a demo version) as a plug-in in Garageband, I can't control the Guitar Rig 5 effects and pedals like I can do it when using Guitar Rig 5 in stand-alone mode. The LEDs on my "Rig Kontrol 3" only state "con", and that's it. Is there a way to get the stand-alone mode behaviour when working inside a DAW?

Well, that's basically it for now. I'd be more than happy about helpful answers, as I currently can't get this stuff running the way I'd like to…

Thank you and best regards from Hamburg,
    Jens

You cannot control Garageband directly with the Kontrol Rig.

You CAN control effects and pedals with the Kontrol Rig as a plug in for Garage Band. When you pull up the Guitar Rig Interface Click the Show/Hide Kontrol Rig then Click on the connect button in the top left corner of the interface. By default the Kontrol Rig is not connected.

Well, seems I figured that out the hard way… So I swallowed the bitter pill and got Logic Pro X on the App Store, getting things to work as intended. Thank you very much for your answer.

I pretty much have the same question for Ableton Live 9.1 on the PC.
