    Hi.
I suppose there are hundreds of resources about this issue, anyway, I was wondering if there's a detailed tutorial about rippin vinyl with tbe Audio 8, with connections, settings, re ording software etc etc

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Regards.

It's quite straightforware. Plug your vinyl deck in one of the preamp equipped inputs (1 & 2 or 3 & 4). select this as recording input in any audio Recording application (Audacity is free on mac , you can also use Soundtrack if you have the Logic Studio bundle, or peak)

Once you have a straight clean recording (you could record in 24bit to have a better headroom), just adjust the levels to maximise your volume. try to avoid using "MAstering" plugins which will alter the dynamics. You can try to find Audio restoration plugins to remove background noises and clicks.

Just make sur you have vinyls in good condition, a Clean and rather new Cart on your deck) and this should do the job.
