Ok by far I am not claiming 2 be a DJ nor do I want 2 become one professionally. I am a recording/mixing engineer but I do have friends that are artists and they always want me 2 work in the dj booth during their shows 2 make sure the DJ doesn't mess up and pause where one needs 2 be so they can talk so on and so forth. I figured instead of doing the show off of a cd (we have had issues with the cd not playing in the system) why not do it straight off of my macbook pro. So I just need something that can come out of my mbp and go into the club mixer (as a soundcard) (I assume) because I researched this site and everyone says never come straight out of the laptop so I was wondering would this device do what I need it 2 do? Numark DJ I/O USB 2.0 Audio Interface http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-NUM-DJIO-LIST from where I am not trying 2 do this professionally I would like the cheapest solution possible but be able 2 do this and let it sound comparable 2 the rest of the stuff.

The Numark DJ I/O output is rated at 2.0 dBu (converts to 4.2 dBv although this is not an absolute conversion as standards vary and as an engineer you know more about this than I do) vs the NI Audio 2 DJ which is rated at 9.7 dBv. There is also the DA converter quality to consider. There should be less difference in volume and quality (maybe an improvement) of sound using the audio 2 DJ compared to what the other DJs are using. The two sound cards are the same price at most sites.

ok so if I was 2 get the audio 2 dj then 2 interface it into the clubs mixer I would just go stereo out from my unit into the stereo in to the club mixer correct? Just trying 2 make sure that it is that simple.
