Hi everyone, is there any possibility to get round robin in maschine+? Usually I get this working in maschine via battery4.

If you want to use a round robin sampler sound, you need to create a custom Kontakt patch for it and transfer it to M+. However, be advised that custom Kontakt patches on M+ aren't officially supported by NI, so if you run into issues, you need to figute things out for yourself.

FWIW I have used some Roland TR-808 Kontakt patches with round robin on my M+ standalone, and have got it working, more or less.. Sometimes the patch doesn't load, but most of the time it loads with sound. I guess I could resample the pattern into audio in order to keep it "safe"

I guess the above can work for full kits if the user makes a bunch of tracks with the same kit. But all the sampler editing functionality, as well as loading one-shots from the browser goes bye-bye.

How could they be oneshots? I mean, even the sliced sampler patches aren't included in oneshots.. And if anything, that is how I'd expect NI to implement RR in Mas (add samples to different zones just like you do for velocity layers but just check some "Round Robin" option for the zone)

Well... nothing is included in Oneshots other than wav files but if I am browsing for samples to make a round-and-robin HiHat for example I sure would like to have the option of being able to do it from the part of the Browser dedicated to one-shots/drums.
Even if it were to be implemented in the Zone menu we can already drag from the Oneshot browser to zone.

Zone would be the most obvious for sure but there could be other ways...
Battery has a different approach where you can just cycle between Cells, the same could be done in Maschine with Pad-Link where each time you press the 'Send' Pad it cycles between all the 'Receive' Pads (formerly known as Master/Slave). This has a major advantage: You can still use Tune, Start, Reverse, FX and all the other tons of parameters for each Sample/Pad independently while if they are all in the same pad (thru zones) those parameters will affect all the samples which is obviously a major disadvantage for drum sound design. The only advantage of the Zone approach would be saving Pad space. These are the same pros and cons that apply to slicing a sample to a Group VS a Pad.

Also, I could be wrong but there's no way to load samples into the Zone menu from the HW, if this is correct it would exclude a potential round and robin from the M+; not that it would be hard to implement a way tho.

Oh yes! that pad cycle implementation would be the best actually, as then you'd not even be limited to round robining samples!

    Great idea
