In Sticky Round Robin Please

Although future content would likely make use of it, it's the round robin feature and functionality that is being requested here, not just for instruments to have round robin samples. There are other creative uses for it than randomising sample hits for more realistic instruments. Any sampler worth its weight should have this feature.

 

Yeah it's just the feature I want. No need for any update of the current libraries.

Round Robin is part of the sound engine.... And Maschine does not have its own sound engine.... It Uses some of the soundengines that also come with komplete, and if you want round robbin, i think you want them to add it to Reaktor... Or just add some Kontakt soundsets which support round robbin..

 

This is not exactly true and/or is misleading... Maschine has a sample-playing sound "engine" at its core (and also drum synths). It only uses the sound engines of Komplete instruments as much as any DAW i.e., as VST/AU/RTAS plugins.

So round robin is wanted in Maschine (i.e., as part of its sample-playback functionality).

Interesting. I too think this would be a great feature for the basic Maschine Sampling engine to have.

Yes, it's in other NI products and for those that have those products, they might be used to provide this function but setting them up will be tedious (see below).

The main reason to have this feature is to allow automation of individual sounds through Maschine's controls. If you load Kontack or Battery onto a sound and then put that sound's group into Keyboard mode, all automation will effect all of the sounds at the sometime. You would not be able to automate you Kick but let you other sounds remain untouched.

The only way you could get individual sound automation is to load the same Instrument on to every sound slot (Pad), separately, and then set the Base Note for each sound, so the pads play whatever scale you want. What a pain! And now 2.2 has been released what about Chords and ARPs etc.

No, the only effective way to get Round Robin in Maschine, is to have it as a feature of Maschine's own builtin Sampling engine.
