The round robin is also useful for programming melodic sequences by triggering successively samples (a strike on the pad triggers the next sample). The use we can do is very varied. It is a powerful and very useful tool to be integrated into maschine.
Besides the new perspectives what would bring this feature to create drumkit and live performance.

This will never happen, NI do not put this sort of effort in to updates, it is more likely that Maschine v3 woo hype woo hype woo comes now comes with Battery.
That way all the requests for a lot of standard drum sample features they can just turn round and say "But we gave you Battery for free, that does that"

Been a maschine user since just before v1.5 and I'd still love to see round robin implemented.

As usual I guess they don't give a hoo.

I've stopped buying any new NI equipment or software, and I'm waiting to see wether the the most highly requested features of Maschine and Traktor controlers ever get implemented.

I want to use only the S49 as a midi controller for my (focused) sound.

If I am focused on the Minitaur (for instance), and move the cutoff, play a note, etc. on the Sub 37 or any other midi device, the Minitaur receives those commands. Currently, I need to turn off all my midi inputs except the S49. I want to be able to choose what midi device(s) command in focus mode without having to deactivate other midi inputs. I hope Im making myself clear.

    Thanks very much

use different midi channels for each synth.. So, a pad on Maschine sends midi to a unique midi channel

I have tried that... Maschine will transmit midi data to a focused pad from any device, regardless of its output channel.

    example:
    Sub37... midi in: 2 out:2
Voyager (focused)... midi in:3 out:3 (Source: Focus/ Channel: 3/ Thru: On)

Focused on the Voyager pad: If I play a note on the Sub37 or move a knob, the Voyager receives those commands. Then, it's impossible to play different notes on each synth at the same time.

I'd like to use the Komplete S49 as the only keyboard (midi input) a focused sound reacts to. That way I can play a bass line with the S49 on the Voyager, and a melody on Sub 37. To do that, I need to turn off the Sub 37 input in the midi preferences. Then I cant record automation, program changes, etc... It is annoying.

This is correct as far as I know, except I didn't think Maschine accepted incoming midi if the destination sound/group was not in focus, and regardless of what channel the midi is sent on. I've tried mapping an F1 to two different instances (groups) of Reaktor and Maschine only receives the midi for the group that is in focus (or clicked on). If focus is turned off from preferences, it doesn't accept any incoming midi. It'd be nice if there was a omni option that allowed all incoming midi to be accepted on any channel regardless if in focus.

That's strange. When I use Maschine to send midi to my s950 sampler I send midi to different midi channels. In the s950 I have a drums on ch1, a bass sound on ch2, strings on ch3 etc. This works fine. Are you sure your synths are set to local off so they only receive midi on their own midi channel?

I'm not sure you understand my issue. The problem is not the output, it is the input (of focus mode). I don't want the Sub37's keyboard to "talk" to the Voyager when the Voyager is focused (selected). I don't want anything other than the S49 keyboard (and maschine, of course) "talking" to the focused sound or pad. If I set the S49 as the midi input of all my devices, then every note I Play is sent to all devices at the same time (not cool). That is why midi:focus mode exists. Since I only use external instruments (some of them are synths with keyboards, some others are modules [all midi inputs set to Focus mode]) I want to control ONLY the focused (selected) pad, ONLY with the S49... And if the focused (selected) pad is a synth with a keyboard, I expect to be able to use its keyboard too (to control itself, and ONLY itself). --- Apparently the midi input channel in Focus is not working or doesn't make any difference, since the (focused) synth receives midi from any channel, from any device (regardless of the output channel). That's why I want to exclude all midi controls except the S49 from midi:Focus. ---

    I couldn't be clearer.
