got a midi cable out of the m-audio oxygen input into the kore 1.

yet I get no midi response at all when I add a vsti or even in kore 2 itself. cant hear or see anything.

The m-audio worked through USB. But not through the Kore.... Am I setting it up wrong ?

    thanks and peace.

Do you have Kore's MIDI input turned on in audio/MIDI settings?

You don't mention which OS you have but, if it's Mac OS X, you can use the excellent (and free) application MIDIMonitor to see whether your keyboards MIDI info is arriving properly.

See attached image for an example.

Open Kore in standalone and go to File/Options- audio/MIDI settings. Make sure that the Kore MIDI input's turned on there.

You'll also need to have the Axiom plugged in via an adapter unless you have batteries; it's usually powered through the USB port. If you're powering it through the USB port, use that for your MIDI in port, and not Kore.

I'd add that, in my experience, sometimes a MIDI source will be on in Kore but not working and I have to toggle it off and then on again (without having to close the dialog, just flip it off and then back on again) before it works properly.

    Regards,

    Matt.

THANK YOU everyone for your guidance. (it helped a lot)

I really should have posted on the M:Audio site.

Turned out that my MIDI was sending signals from the USB and not from the MIDI OUT on the Oxygen keyboard controller.

anyone else experiencing this problem (PRESS ADVANCED & then the MIDI OUT key and set it from USB to INT)

    ez
