Anyone doing this and what are you using? Got a gig where I need to run a guide track (like a click track but with extra stuff on it) for the drummer. Their last guy ran it as a midi sequence from his workstation keyboard and sent one of the outs to the drummer's headphone monitor.

I know the midi player in Kore only runs one track at a time. Anyone doing this have any suggestions? Thought I could:

    (1) split the midi file into parts and run them in separate channels - but not sure how to get them all started in time

    (2) render the lot in cubase as a mono .wav file and play it as a really long sample (I have sfz - I think it does disk streaming)

    (3) delegate the problem - suggest they render it as an mp3 file and get an mp3 player - have the drummer cue it from behind the kit

Any help or advice from you Kore giggers across the planet would be very gratefully received.

Hi Goz 211 I hope my suggestions could help you.

    I'm working in this way:

    - I'm sending an mp3 click to drummer (using phones out of kore 1 controller ) with this free vst mp3/wave player OCTOMAG: http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1585.html
Just save a preset with octomag playing

    - I'm playing my backing tracks with another istance of OCTOMAG with a wave stereo track ( using line out of kore controller 1 )

I've build two kore sound for song. One for click, one for backing track. The mp3 click and the Backing track ( stereo wave ) have the same lenght.

    :)

    bye,

    Khenzo

    mp3 and synchronised start

    Hi Khenzo

Got Octomag running in Kore. Can't get it to load mp3 files, just wav files. Which version do you have?

How do you get the two instances of Octomag to start at the same time?

Hi Goz, you say right OCTOMAG is Wave Player...Sorry So you have to make a CLICK TRACK WAVE and Not Mp3, it's the same :).
To Start Two istances of Octomag at the same time I do in this way:
    1) Preset 1 two istance of octomag off
    2) Preset 2 two istance of octomag on , Push Play in one istance at the time, than Save preset

now if you go back to preset 1, and then go to preset 2 the two istance start play at the same time :)

    I hope this Help.

    Got it working thanks

    Hi Khenzo

Got it working thanks. Both channels "X" off in preset 1 and both start playing when you switch to preset 2.

    Cheers.

    Cool

Nice one Khenzo! Glad you got that figured out...I know I have done this with the guitar rig tape deck since it plays mp3 and wav, but I had not heard of that software above.

    Cheers,
