Hi, I have been looking to get the s2 and was wondering can I still use the mic on the s2 or s4 when I am mixing with traktor dj for iOS (ipad) ?

I don't believe so, as you need to manage the auxiliary channel for the mic input.

This is very important, i am glad i seen this. So you can't even use the mic with the new traktor controller s2 or s4 mk2 and a ipad? How can this be considered any sort of pro tool when you cant even use the microphone?

The mic is handled as a pass thru signal through the S2 and S4. Yes you can use it!

Well I'm glad someone settled it before the false speculation was taken to be true.

On S2 mk2 i think it's not a pass thru signal. I can only make my microphone to work if i set it to AUX channel and turn the volume of the channel up. My S2 mk2 microphone does not work without a computer connected as it should work so i think they changed the microphone behaviour.

so you are saying it works just not well and you have to turn the volume way up?

    No.
I say that in S2 mk1 the mic channel was a pass thru (mic signal was sent directly to the mains even without the computer connected). With S2 mk2 this is not the case anymore. The mic signal is not a pass thru anymore so instead you must use the AUX channel IN in traktor software for the mic to be able to work. You cannot use the microphone channel without a computer connected anymore and you must turn up the VOLUME of the channel in the software in order for the mic channel to work.
