S4 Beatmatching with Tap Tempo?

    Not sure why I can't find resources for this, maybe I'm not phrasing my search correctly.

    Is there a mapping to set the tempo on a deck using the SHIFT and or CUE buttons, or any kind of button mapping to replace the Pitch/Tempo fader? I cannot get tap tempo to work for the life of me, and I don't want to change the beatgrid of a track, just its playback tempo by tapping to match the other deck instead of sliding.

    Let me know if I can clarify this further. Essentially just want to improve for beatmatching. Thanks all.

    Hi, old post I see, but I had an S4 Mk3 arrive today and had the same question.

    My previous S4 Mk2 seemed to have a 'Tap Tempo' preconfigured to the shift key (although I may have set it up myself many years back and had just forgotten). Anyway, I've just had to set this up myself too.

    I headed to: Preferences / Controller Manager

    Selected my device from the top dropdown, then clicked "Add In". I found 'Beat Tap' in the following location of this menu: Track Deck / Grid / Beat Tap.

    Once selected, I clicked on "Learn", tapped my left shift key, and now I can tap away to set a beat grid.
