This thread is intended to list fully functioning, S4 compatible Windows PC laptops.

If you're running S4 on a Windows laptop, and it's running 100% without dropouts etc., please list it here.

    Please list only the following:

    1) Laptop Make and Model:

    2) OS and version:

    3) Tweaks: (very brief description of necessary tweaks ... i.e 'disabled WiFi' or 'none')

Please keep your listing to these 3 points, so it can serve as a practical guide to users looking for a suitable, S4 compatible Windows laptop.

.... there are other threads for discussing details of S4/Windows issues .... please discuss them there and leave this thread for listings only. Thanks ... :)

    2) Win7, Home Edition, 64 bits
    3) Seems to work without any, but use NI's sugested ones on the FAQ
    4) Update display driver, & Intel Chipset (like you should do on ANY system anyways)
    5) Install, update, plug it, enjoy

    - Mine (see below)
    - clean install, Security Center OFF, all visual effects (Aero) OFF, no AntiVir installed, Wifi, LAN, internal sound, Firewire DISABLED, nVidia graphics driver replaced by MS VGA driver

    Works perfect :)

With disabling all unneeded Hardware such as WiFi, ACPI and these steps above it seems that everything goes smooth now! Accurate long-time test will show now.
I'm so glad atm, no cracks or pops with my Acer Aspire 5742G.

    1) Laptop Make and Model: Dell XPS M1330

    2) OS and version: Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit

    3) Tweaks: Disabled wifi + antivirus, removed nvidia drivers and installed basic microsoft vga driver

Just one point to make: guys using Dell machines with nvidia drivers seems a no no with Traktor S4 at the minute, this is the ONE thing I did that cleared all my drop outs and audio pops!

Tweaks... well, it's a clean install at the moment, with virtually nothing on it except the base install software.

works awesome. just got the laptop yesterday.

    My PC Works Fine!

I've been playing on my new s4 for about an hour now, and so far it seems to work fine on my Sony laptop. I have the audio set as follows:

    Sample Rate: 44100 Hz
    Process Buffer: 96 Samples
    Output Latency: 6.8 ms

I did try to set the latency even lower, but then I got a lot of pops and crackles. Anyways... here are my computer specs:

    1) Sony Vaio VGN-SR210D (3 gigs of RAM, 500 GB HD, Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T5800 @ 2.00 GHz)

    2) Windows 7 (64 bit)

    3) I didn't do any specific tweaks to get the s4 up and running, but in the past I've done some pretty standard Windows optimizations that you can find by using Google :)

Whats the benefit of turning off the "ACPI(+0x1af44)" thread? I have a dell XPS 1647 and I do see the service running on my machine.
