S4 Fader Start

HI GUYS

Does anyone know how to make a track start simply by moving the cross fader - called fader start? in the S4.

I just want to move it left and right and for the deck to start automatically?

Just create a usermapping in the controller manager and map the crossfader.
But I don't know if it would be that useful, I think you could better map the faderstart to the channel faders.

EDIT: Apparently it's not possible to assign a fader/crossfader to the Cue/Play action in the Controller Manager. When you do map it, it says: "Inappropriate Control"

So no, I guess it's not possible after all

 

Thats a real shame - i hope they fix this in the next updayte as it is a handy feature to have when you want to do the one finger mixing!

I did it, but I can't do it again. The first time I chose add>Traktor>Kontrol S4>User in the controller manager. Selected Learn and moved the cross fader, got the same inappropriate message. Then I changed the interaction mode (to relative I think) Then when I went back to figure out exactly what i did and I couldn't do it again. It did work though. I moved the cross fader and the track played.
