S4 Hardware failure?

    Hi guys,

Last week when I turned on my S4 it started doing this light flashing thing, like it's constantly powering up, and the loop screen going crazy.

I tried, swapping usb cables, using power only, plugging into different comps, reinstalled traktor, basically nothing works.
So I'm pretty sure it's a hardware issue? Has anyone encountered this problem before?

Here's a video to show you more clearly:

I've contacted NI, but their tech support is slow to reply, and they don't seem to read properly since they just replied with a generic template telling me to rename the 'Traktor Settings.tsi' file to 'Traktor Settings_BACKUP.tsi

Would they take it back for repair? my 1 year warranty expired yesterday, but I contacted them about it last week when it happened.

    :(

My first S4 had an issue with the lights a few days after purchase (all the lights on one side stayed on, for one thing, including all the characters on the loop display). It ended up being a complete hardware failure that required a new S4. I was able to just return it the the store where I purchased it.

Actually mine didn't work at all while the lights were going crazy like that.

After leaving it turned off and unplugged for a week, I attempted to power it on again, and everything went back to normal - lights working, and actually works in Traktor Pro 2 etc.

Werid, I know. But it saved me from having to send in the S4 for repair.

In any case I think you should send it in for a repair.

My Kontrol S4 is doing the same thing, but I don't have luxury of returning under factory warranty as I bought mine from someone who didn't want it. Are there any repair shops or ways I can get this controller back up and running? Anyone know a fix for this issue yet, as it has been posted numerous times in the forums. Thanks
