Hi all i know this thread has already been made! But i want to make this really clear for myself!

I made the swap to Traktor and the S4 about a 10 months ago. After mixing on cdjs and vinyl for about 10 years before this!

Im going to now start taking it to clubs with me now ive fully mastered it etc!

Ive got a really big gig coming up and im going to trial my S4 at the gig.

The setup there will probably be either a Allen and heath or Pioneer mixer with 4 cdjs and maybe 2x 1210s.

Do i connect a set of red and white cables into one of the line in channels of the house mixer? Into the back of my S4? and then im good to go?

Is there anything else i need to plug in? (apart from power leads)

Yes, setup is the same as for everyone else. RCA outs into an empty channel on the mixer.

If there are four CDJs and two TTs, the mixer will be fully connected. Make sure you disconnect a CDJ that isn't playing.

I say CDJ because they have line-level outputs where TTs do not. The S4 has a line-level output.

Channel 2 and 3 on a Pioneer mixer have another Line input in addition to the CD/Line input, this way you can connect your S4 without unplugging anything.

I would use the balanced 1/4's instead of the RCAs if the mixer in the club has balanced 1/4's or XLR inputs.

Thanks everybody for your comments. Didn't know how easy it was to connect Traktor to play live in clubs!
