Is it possible to press a button on the S4 to enter freeze mode in traktor DJ or do I need to press the GUI always?

Is freeze mode available in traktor pro (desktop/laptop)? If not, anyone heard if it's coming?

I love freeze, and sprung for the s4 primarily for 8 buttons on freeze. But I wanna use four channels/my f1s and it seems silly if I only can use freeze in traktor DJ, as I have to then choose between for decks or this feature!

    So the answer is no?

This seems to be the most illogical thing I've encountered from NI across the board... Usually I just have to spend more money to get features, but in this case I have to choose between levels of functionality. If I have the top of the line product, why do I have to make feature trade-offs, like i can either freeze a track or have 4 decks!?

If i'm going to be freezing and getting creative with tracks, I need a backup track on a 3rd deck, its too much stress. tracks can seem weak when being chopped and often i need to layer a second track. to be doing this, if i dont want to be hyper aware of time, i can miss the end of a track and then have to go load something meanwhile/// it just is absolute garbage.

Actually, you can. Just press the LOOP MOVE knob. This is the knob to the left of the IN button. You can also move the grid one beat at a time by pressing this button and turning it. Turning it without pressing moves the grid one page at a time.

    Enjoy!
