Very little (officially) is known about the Nexus, it might not even be called the DJM900, and it won't be coming out until 10.31.2011. Do you have that long to wait?

P.S. I'd go with the club mixer and a Kontrol X1 all day long if you are planning on playing club gigs.

it's almost triple the price. Why are you trying to compare them?

    S4 is fantastic ...

If you really want to mix externally, you can also look at the Denon DN-S1600, which also TSP certified. It's 1/2 the price of the DJM-900.

in my country the price of the s4 is 1250 $ and the djm-900 nexus it is goin to be a arround 2000 $

i can get it from out the country and tax free it and get back 8 % from it price

it will cost less 160 $ so the total price for the djm-900 nexus is 1840$ means 590$
    more than the s4,

it is not too much for a pice like this it is pionner made means it s more professional

it has more effects and fx sound colors too close to be the djm-2000 in the options it has more rca in and out more than the s4 ( more ways to use )

im lost between them so what do u suggest ?

    getting s4 or the New pioneer djm-900 nexus with 2 kontrol x 1 ?

with 2 kontrol x1 u can control the 4 channels

the second x1 can be map to control the 4 sample on 2 decks C & D and The 4 hot cue on Deck C & D you can do all this when u push shift bottom on the x1

and u can also control the C & D Decks Like play sync.... from the same x1 Control too

plus im not a scratching fan
so what do u think now guys ? which one has more Ultimate use ?

I think you should consider the Xone: DB4 if you are looking to spend that kind of money.

+1. Although, the DB4's TS certification status is not announced yet. It's very likely that DB4 is much better sonically. The Denon DN-X1600 for 1/2 the cost of the Pio is a grat option. The nexus and the 1600 are pretty much on par from the features & functionality sides. The Denon may appear to be the better sounding one ...

When calculating the costs vs S4, you need to count the cost of the 2 individual X1s.

For me, S4's portability is a very fat +. When you count also that S4 comes with TP2 license, it's even one more fat +.

    lots of options exists ...

im not a fan for Xone Mixers and i will never be even if sounded a bit better like the 92 to be honest Xone: DB4 looks ugly and the lcd screen is a bit woobly ,
Now XOne Trying To Be Pioneer with digital effects... too far from pioneer

about the The Denon DN-X1600 it is much cheaper ,i belive when u pay more u get more and the diffrent between are the quality of made and the sound for sure

and that's why u see pioneer every where you go and not seeing denon that much :)
it is all about money man, i pay for something i love coz it will return to me at the end

you love Pio, get Pio :)

it's that simple. Above all you need to be happy of what you own. And it has to look good in your eyes.

if money's not an issue, get an S4 for portability and pleasure. It'll save you some $ from the TSP2 license ;)

[not that you haven't heard by me, but anyway :D ]

if it's "forget about money", get them both, but start with the S4! seriously dude ...

The s4 you can get even now and let the Traktor 2 magic starts immediately!

the Pio - it'll be a while before it's really available. If you are not fully satisfied with the S4 for the time being, get the Pio in few months! You can easily find someone to buy the S4 from you and you won't loose a lot of money - lot of people want S4 and won't mind getting a second hand unit.

You should realize that Traktor 2 is not very different from Traktor Pro S4. T2 only adds the waveform colors and the few new FX, besides that S4 is already TP2.

    why wait ? :)

It really depends on what you want to do with it. The 900 w/ two X1's is what you're going to see a lot of deejay playing on very soon (a lot have already switched to a pair of X1's with an 800).

If you're just going to use it in your bedroom or play weddings, bars, etc, the S4 should be all you ever need.

If you're going to be playing out a lot, or throwing parties, the 900 with the X1's is a no brainier. That is the way to go. Especially if money is no object.

I have quite similar thoughts these days.... I prefer the DJM-2000 with 2 X1 at the moment...

DJM-900 has not that big improvements to the 800 (besides soudncard, midi, ... ^^) but costs nearly the same as the 2000!

Pioneer never disapponted me and they are not randomnly THE standard in the clubs and everywhere.

S4 is a nice device without doubt and I think it's the perfect controller for bedroom and private parties! If you're planning to dj professionally in clubs you should choose the pioneer + x1 (2000 or 900 whats your favourite) but if you need to be mobile and have to take your equipment with you often the S4 is your choice!

Like someone said before: If you really have the money then get it all.... It's the (for me) perfect set!

i bought the s4 with x1 and machine, im planning to get a pioneer mixer in the future and i prefere the 2000's more than the 800 coz it has the FXs bulit in

but first i have to get my midi keybord controller for production use and get a pro mic plus to a pre amp mic or a audio kontrol 1 sound card.....

and also a studio monitor i saw in my city yamaha studio monitors with while color speaker i dont know if they are good as other marks any suggestion for a good studio monitors ?

it cost much money but step by step will be easier !
