hey guys, been looking to expand my DJ setup to include a live hybrid performance aspect to it
I would like to run a TR-8s & a few synths along side of Traktor, using Ableton as my main mixer for the audio channels

is it possible to assign the faders for the stem decks to control channel volume sliders in ableton?

ultimately I want to use 3 or 4 decks of traktor using the controls of the S8 in a traditional manner, but also be able to adjust volume of the synths & drum machine on their respective channels in ableton,
w/ all audio routed into Ableton & back out to either the s8 main outputs or to my Focusrite 2i4

I have figured out most of the audio routing (need to get the clock sync tighter though) I just never have done any custom midi mapping for this yet & I am not sure what is or isn't possible

btw I run Ableton Live 10 suite, Traktor 3.3 & a MacBook pro

    yes. it’s called MIDI Control.
there’s an article on it on the NI web site.

you have to turn that option on in the S8 preferences. then in Controller Manager you set them up.
    all 8 faders/encoders/buttons are assignable.
NI has premade .tsi files to save you time.

you just access the controls via the < and > buttons that scroll through the filter/fix send/FX 3 & 4 pages to MIDI page.

if you use a remix or stem in the deck you can’t use the faders.
