    Does anyone know if you can now change the original mapping? Usually it's hard-coded.
    Somewhere I read that it should work now.

    You can only change the original mapping by modifing the qml files. You can find many mods, including mine, which do so.

    Also, since Traktor Pro 3.1 (not sure from which exact version), you can add certain functionalities to some controls/buttons using the Controller Manager in Traktor, with the ability to enable/disable (not sure to what extend) the original function associated to that physical control, if I’m not wrong :)
