S8 with Maschine!

Ok ... So I've just installed a bunch of older versions of Traktor onto my test MacMini running Sierra to see when the "full screen app" thing kicked in and see if any version of Traktor allowed you to use the D2 screens, have Traktor "full screen" and change to Maschine with the screens still working.

Traktor Pro 2.8.0 works like a charm. Traditional Full Screen (even in Sierra) without it being a "Space", and you can flick between Maschine and Traktor all you like without screens stopping. 2.8.1 is the same, no issues there.

Traktor Pro 2.9.0 is where NI decided that Traktor should be a "full screen app" that uses spaces, and therefor the screens freeze.

I have just updated my bug report with this information and hopefully they are able to give us back the "traditional full screen" as an option.

Mind you, Maschine also has the "full screen app" mode and so if you use that your D2 screens will also freeze! I'll need a bit more time to see where Maschine changed as well. Holding down Option while clicking the green dot once again gives you the maximise though to get around it.

Please i need help can you tell me how to sync machine as a master and tractor S8 as slave?
(i found only how to set tractor as a master and machine slave)

Is important for me because is send midi note with maschine to my synth,
if i use traktor as master then i can't send anymore midi note to my synth that's the problem

Hey question Witzman do you know anyone that has a S8 and a MK3 and synced them up I am having the hardest time, BTW I am using windows, to do it I saw a cool video, DJTechtools where he was playing live beats while he was mixing

 

Yep, done that yesterday worked like a charm. Had a Remix Deck running loop and had an instance of Maschine running. Both synced via Ableton link. Hustlefree. Finally.

 

so Pesict is there a free copy of ableton link to do this....I think this is the second thread that talked about the Ableton Link..btw did you have to make changes to the midi input and output in the software

 

Ableton Link is not a program, it's a protocol to sync up different music apps, and it's integrated in the latest versions of Ableton Live, Traktor Pro and Maschine software. Just press the LINK button in the top of Traktor Pro and Maschine and they will instantly sync up.

 

so was reading a article https://support.native-instruments....utput-as-a-Live-Input-Source-in-TRAKTOR-PRO-2 and it says that i have to have Komplete Audio 6....which nobody ever said form all the youtube videos i have been watching....don't want to purchase any more hardware for this... i should be able to do this through a midi cable since both devices has midi...THIS IS GETTING SO FRUSTRATED

 

for some reason it is not recognizing the other device... I just keeping seeing one... I WISH IT WAS THAT EASY

 

i think i might have figured it out will have to try tonight to see i was clicking the link button but kept noticing that it was saying 1 link but i am trying to sync 2 devices but i read that it is suppose to say 1 link so it is seeing the other device..... if that is the case i feel so .... now my other issue is that sending a signal out of maschine to go into traktor it is coming in but i can't control the volume and can't assign it to a channel.... any thought....BUT WE ARE GETTING CLOSER
