S88 Mk2 question

Got my S88 Mk2 today and it all seems to be working well.
But can't work out how to get it to be the default midi controller with Cubase 9.5.
I also have an S61 Mk2 and Cubase defaults to that when I boot up.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received. I'm on Mac.

I do not own one, but from what I've read looking into the subject of using two KK controllers at once, it's supposed to default to the controller with more keys in it. I'm about to buy an S-Series tomorrow actually, so maybe someone with more experience with them at this moment can chime in soon, but if you haven't tried unplugging the S61 and only using the S88 first and then plugging the S61 later after closing down your session, maybe that'll fix it.

I hope they make it possible so that you can use multiple KK controllers in Maschine and Komplete Kontrol just like you can use multiple Maschine controllers in one session of Maschine and get the full functionality sent to all controllers soon for light guide, screens, etc, etc and not just have the second KK basically be a generic midi controller.

If anything I've said is wrong or confused, please correct me, as I'm posting as much to learn as I am to try to help since there's no responses on this thread yet.

 

Thanks for your interest - after about the 3rd or 4th time I rebooted my system it did indeed default to the S88 as the main controller and all the functionality you would expect to control Cubase. I've no idea how it changed from my S61 to the S88 but I'm just hoping it stays that way. I'll keep an eye on the posts to find out if anybody has a rational explanation.
