S88 Stops Responding When Using Komplete Kontrol Software

I bought an S88 a few weeks ago and so far it's working well, except for one thing. If I use the Komplete Kontrol software after 15-20 minutes all the LEDs on the S88 go out and the keyboard stops responding. If I restart the S88 and the KK software it doesn't start working again. If I try Kontakt or Reaktor they also don't work. If I restart my computer (Windows 10) and launch the KK software then everything works fine, but only for another 15-20 minutes.

If I use any of the instruments directly or through ProTools then I don't experience any problems. I can use them for hours and the S88 works fine. It's only when I access the instruments through the KK software.

Any one else experience this?

Just guessing here - might it have something to do with the USB time out function? Windows switches off USB port after a while to "save energy". However I wouldn't know why it would work with proTools...
