My friend said a sales guy at moog audio in toronto is selling one renaissance every 20 maschine... just want to say i called that from the announcement of ren, i knew it d flop like a fat kid on a diving board. But Maschine could learn from them, and put a soundcard in for the next maschine, and not some alessis bs, KA6 technology, get msacine framed in a nice soundcard chassis,, all metal

this is just one store and i dont believe its a 1--20 sale ratio..

ive worked in stores and i call bulllshit on that comment.
ive tried both and used both ren and maschines software and maschine is a more polished product compared to the ren .
    ren also feels/looks out dated.
also this ren vs maschine page will get locked by the mods quicker than a fat girl dropping her knickers at a all you can eat buffet.

The last thing I want is Maschine to have a built in audio interface. It will drive up cost and both Maschine and the audio interface will be reduced in feature and function from separate units - just like with any compromise when hardware is jammed together.

What would the benefit be besides saving one extra small piece of gear to carry? Now, If there was a Maschine with its own operating system and it was truly standalone away from computers- it might be worth combining things.

Ana all metal chassis might also be nice, but only if it doesn't increase the cost ridiculously.
