    Hi guys,

just found it this night, it seems that if you have same tag label on Type and Subtype column and tried to remove one of them, maschine library will remove both of them!, not just one you just did deselect it.

    vice versa

if you select one of the same tag label (does not matter if you choose it on Type or Subtype column), maschine library will automatically select the second tag that have same label!.

please note that this is only happens on Type and Subtype column, Bank column? well luckily he is a nice guy :p

I'll give you an example  : to users PLEASE DO NOT TRY THIS!, this is only an explanations to visualize what was happening to me.

I will try to move tag labeled DIGITAL (this is only example, it happens to other tag too) from Subtype column to Type column because I don't like original factory tags structure, I wont remove DIGITAL attribute yet because that tag still apply to another file (snare, kick, etc) so obviously I'll remove it later after DIGITAL contains zero file!.

Step 1: Select any file that tagged DIGITAL on Subtype column (single or multiple file)

Step 2: In edit page, Create tag labeled DIGITAL on Type column

Step 3: on Subtype column deselect tag DIGITAL

    Step 4: click apply

Result: Maschine library will remove tag labeled DIGITAL on Subtype column AND tag labeled DIGITAL you just created on Type column....whoala

So this is why many users complaining about tagging/library problems, NI Team please fix this.

For you guys, there is still way out to avoid this problem, if you think you going to make same label on both column, try put temporary flag on it until you have done tagging files and makes sure there is NO same tag label on both side column.

    example:

Step 1: Select any file that tagged DIGITAL on Subtype column (single or multiple file)

Step 2: In edit page, Create tag labeled DIGITAL1 (1 means flag) on Type column

Step 3: on Subtype column deselect DIGITAL

    Step 4: click apply

Result: this means relocating any tag labeled DIGITAL on Subtype column to Type column (or vice versa), after you done this you can safely remove (deselect) tag labeled DIGITAL, IF you are sure that DIGITAL tag already contains zero file!.

    hope this help.
