Sample Edit timeline needs Beats option and better Zoom

When I'm using Sample Edit to adjust Start/End points, I'd like to have the option to switch the timeline display from Sec/Min to Beats/Bars. It would also help to be able to set a Snap value for the grid (16/32/64/etc). This would make editing longer samples for which the tempo is known go a lot faster.

Related to this is that the lack of a way to keep the Start/End markers centered when zooming in the software Sample Edit window is maddening when working with longer samples. I've given up trying because its so time consuming to chase the markers around by scrolling back and forth when trying to zoom in very close to a longer sample. Maybe there's a keyboard shortcut I'm missing.

Just having the start point focussed would be enough but a dedicated hardware knob inthe sampole editor would be best, too...there's at least 4 knobs free that I can count...

Yep. Something along those lines would greatly speed the process of isolating bars or beats using the Start/End markers without the need to zoom or calculate.

The more I work with Maschine, the higher this feature request gets on my list.

-The ability to lock the start marker or end marker in the center of the Sample View, so the waveform moves instead of the markers.

-Jumping from start marker to end marker and vv. In Sampling Edit there are two unassigned buttons (5+6), so one of them could be used to jump to the start marker and the other to jump to the end marker. Or one of the unassigned knobs (3+4). Rotate anticlockwise to jump to start marker. Rotate clockwise to jump to end marker.

-Zooming in and out with the controller while keeping the start marker or end marker in the center of the Sample View. In Sampling Edit there are two unassigned knobs (3+4), so one of them could be used for zooming in and out. I use my Griffin Powermate as scrollwheel to do this, but I need to put the cursor on the Zoom Tool first. A dedicated zoom knob would be a better solution.

THis is so important in speeding up the process of editing/slicing sample chops!
