    Hello all,
I am proud to announce the availability of the virtual Cavaillé-Coll organ of the Madeleine church in Paris for Kontakt-2.

This library has been around as a Gigastudio version for several years (SOS-1 library by Peter Ewers). Now we have made it available for users or Kontakt-2 as well. The library comprises a few selected combinations of this great organ. You get the beautiful flutes as well as the tremendous and glorious full Tutti of this magnificent instrument.

For the best possible sound including the full accoustics of the room the full reverb has been recorded and is triggered upon release of the keys. For short notes special release samples have been created using a finely tuned impulse response reverb.

Please have a look at our website http://www.pipeloops.com/html/Madeleine.htm and listen to some demos of this great instrument. The library is available as a download version for just 80,00 €.

    Best regards
    Reiner Suikat

Hey, how is this doing? Can you tell me details about the differences between the original and your version?

    Hello Moonchilde,

the samples have been processed from scratch again. They have been carefully denoised, trimmed etc. Some of the samples in the Gigastudio version had been cut at the attack phase to give a sharper attack, thereby cutting off the natural attack of the pipes. This has also been corrected. On the release side, the GS version had the full release samples only, but now we have added (artificial) staccato releases that make the set playable for fast pieces also. When you only have the full reverb release tails fast passages get drowned in a carpet of release tails and this sounds very unnatural.

If you have not done so yet, take some time and listen to the demos on my website, I hope you will enjoy them!

    Best wishes
    Reiner

    Improved version now available

    Dear all,
I am pleased to announce that a new version of this library is now available. I have reworked the pipe attacks and the release scalings to achieve a much improved response for rapid playing, the previous version was a bit sluggish.
I have updated the demos to reflect the changes. The difference in sound is however not very big for these MIDI performances, the difference is much bigger when playing live and playing some rapid scales or chords.

    Enjoy!
    Reiner
