sample loop in pattern question.. help?

I've got a sample of an 8 bar keyboard loop that was playing originally at 122.
My problem is when I go to record a pattern(at 122 bpm), I do the count in and hit the pad with the loop and get to the end of the 8th bar, then I let go of the pad, but nothing plays until the turnaround again(after another 8 bars). So I'm never sure if I got it or if it's perfectly looped. Is there a setting i'm missing? I have the ADSR at 0/100/100/50, even watching the software program, as soon as I hit the pad
with the loop on the 1, nothing shows up(no orange) until after the 8th bar, but then it doesn't play right away, for another eight bars.
Is there a way I can sample and loop and hear what I'm recording right away instead of waiting?

 

if i were you i would draw a note for exactly 8 bars, but yes the loop will only play if you start from bar one. after all, that is where the On trigger starts from

if you Slice this loop, it will start playing at each new Slice. so you could try that.
