I'm trying to import a loop which I don't know the bpm for.
I import it to a pad, and set the adsr, and then the start and end points. I then enable loop and then set the loop start and end points.
BTW, is there a quicker workaround so you don't have to set loop start/end points twice? Seems redundant.
Anyways, once I finally get it looping perfect, I hit splice, hoping I can take the spliced finished version and change tempos to fit into any pattern, etc.
However, after it's spliced, my loop doesn't loop like it did before I hit splice, it's off again, and doesn't loop smoothly
    any suggestions?

A link button for the start and endpoint would be nice, yes.

Maybe you use truncate if you get the points right?

Go to the slice tab after dropping the loop into a sound slot.
Most of the time start and end points will also be sliced correct (choose the detect algorithm), otherwise set the sensitivity higher.
Now remove ALL the slices between start and end point.
Drag that (full) slice to another sound slot.
    Truncate in audio window.
If you go to the slice window in the new slot, you should get the correct bpm. (could be double or half though, adjust if necessary)

ps if it still doesn't loop correct, you probably have 5 beats or another uneven number, instead of 4 in a measure. You could use tap tempo with the metronome on to get an approximate if you can't figure it out by ear.

thanks, i'll give that a shot.
I did have it truncated before hitting splice btw.
