Sample Selection, Export & Tagging

My world would be complete if Maschine could randomly select a sample within a selected tag. Trawling through a massive list of kick drums in my sample library can be tedious. Sometimes a random selection could prove to be inspiring. The way that Melda Production's Mdrummer generates random kits from tagged samples is wonderful. To have something like this in Maschine would be amazing.

I would also love to see an option to export audio copies of all samples within the selected tag. Drum loops for example. I have a lot of drum loops tagged under 'drum loops' but they are from several sources on my hdd. Selecting the drum loop tag and then highlighting all and exporting copies of them files into a single folder would be great. Certainly not an essential feature for many people but handy on occasion.

Finally a vendor tag for imported sample libraries would really benefit me. Currently I have to use the 1st category tag to label vendor, leaving me only 2 sub categories to work with. For drums in particular this is a little disappointing. My ideal drum tagging would go Drums-Loops-Tops or Drums-Loops-Percussion. Currently because of the lack of vendor tag I have to do Loopmasters-Drums-Perc Loops.

 

I fully agree on the last idea, genlemen from NI should definitely add more categories in browser to work with. Currently there are only 3 possible levels, but it's not enough for me. Just add an infinite number so we can search through folders. Working with 'Files' pane is not an option, the working process is slow, you can't use it with your controller, it's impossible to apply search filters, etc. The perfect way would be searching for needed sounds (say samples) with your controller using search buttons under 'Browser' and 'Sampling' buttons. For example, my folder structure is the following: Maschine 2 - Samples - Samples - [here goes the name of the sampled song for instace] - sample.wav. There might be much more folders as well. But at the moment you cannot reach your samples using just 3 given categories. Hope you guys can find a proper solution
