So I was just wondering is it possible to create a button or a slider that can control the sample start.

or even better assign the mod wheel to directly control the sample start.

    Many thanks

You can assign modwheel to sample start directly. Open the "Mod" tab in the Source section of instrument edit mode. Add a modulator, and select sample start in the destination dropdown on the right side.

Awesome I hoped this was possible. and thanks for your reply.

now I do apologies but when I go to the mod tab in the source section I only get to chose the sample start on the mod tab by the tune button where I can then assign everything other then the mod wheel is it done via midi cc?

Add a CC modulator - that's the only way to do it. You cannot MIDI learn sample start.

    thanks again

I have added a cc controller assigned the sample start but when I move the wheel it does nothing I clicked on the menu button and clicked active and I can see a line that moves as I move the wheel but the sample start does not change. dohh

You're supposed to be in Sampler mode, not DFD.

Wow this actually gave me idea for scratching. A slider that would jump quickly through the sample position. Though i suppose that wouldn't be easy to code.

Anyone tried anything similar for scratching?
