    Yep, and to my knowledge it's never been done except by d16 Group's Decimort attempt which doesn't do it directly or that accurately.

    Motu's BPM has a SP1200 -mode, but I don't know if it's just an eq curve and a bit crusher.

    About 6 months ago I actually started to think about a feature like that, based on actual hardware modeling. If you can emulate the sound of famous hardware compressors/eq's etc. then why not vintage groove boxes?

    Then Native Instruments announced it to be included in the next update, even before I had made a formal feature request. Nice, they read my mind. :)
