Sampler in TP

One feature that would be very helpful in TSP is a sampler with at least 16 slots (mpc friendly) that can be assigned to MIDI or keyboard shortcuts, it really adds a lot to live performances and takes things into another level. It could have a hide/show sampler option just like most sections.

 

Hey, if you're not using all four decks, why not use keybinds and cues to trigger from specific spots in audio loaded on another deck? Just a thought.

 

because I may want to play drums like on an MPC, and that wouldn't allow for efficient use... U could want to trigger more than 1 sample at the time... and even if I'd do what u said, maximum would be 4 samples at the same time...
Plus, using the decks would mean that whenever I'd hit a hotcue there could not be any sample after, otherwise it would play it as well...
It's just too much trouble...

 

+1; Deckdance has something like this. I'd like to be able to swap between samplers and decks, perhaps decks A & B on top and a sampler across the bottom...

 

at least Serato adds this feature to their new version 1.9.

+1 the sampler in torq or serato looks nice for small loops or samples. I know that you can do it via hot cues at the moment, but that's a bit fiddly. (for example: you have to hold the button or you must press the start button in addition or the loop stops).


or better work out a sample accurate and 100% stable sync to ableton

It may not be exactly what you are asking for, but you should try the hotkey sampler. It works really well. I was resistant to go through the trouble of mapping my midi controller and making sample files, but it's really worth it and gives you the ability to do a lot of different things. It has more versatility than other software samplers. You just have to do a little work. It will play a whole sample or just as long as you hold the key/button and trigger loops.

 

Is there a chance we can get a sampler in TP sometime in the future?

Yeah i got an idea make a Feature Request for a Sampler in TSP and watch the debate start.
Many DJs want a Sampler in Pro.

I like the idea of replacing one of the decks with a sampler. I rarely use all four decks simultaneously.

 

put 16 ( maschine controlled ) preview little slots maybe we can switch from folders to sampler instead
