Hi guys, I wanted to save a bunch of kits/groups to create a pack to give away. Unfortunately when SAVING GROUPS WITH SAMPLES not all samples are copied into the sub-folders. It looks like only the samples that are NOT found within the Maschine Library are copied into the sub-folders. I think a function called SAVE WITH SAMPLES should copy ALL used samples into it the kits' sub-folder. Or is it a bug?

As in your user library? Or the factory/expansions/NI library?

    In the user Library (User/Documents/NI/Maschine...)

have you by any chance edited the missing samples after you "saved with samples"? i've read on this very forum a recent thread about the same problem (samples missing after saving with samples). in the end it was "user error": as soon as you edit a sample in any way, it gets safed as a new one. and that was at least the solution in the other thread: --> make all your edits before "save with samples"...

maybe you could try the export/save again?

I read about this as well. My very last step after editing the samples is SAVE WITH SAMPLES, so I would expect ALL samples to be included. But when the samples are party of the Maschine Library, they won't get saved "with samples". So I wonder what's the purpose of SAVE WITH SAMPLES when actually not all samples a are saved? What other way could you then share kits?

I tried this last night and could not replicate the behavior, can you provide specific examples of Maschine samples that are not saving for you? Might help in troubleshooting the problem.

    Peace,

    Hey MarcoScherer.

Let me see if I summarise this correctly: So you are basically trying to create a free sample pack to give away, that contains content from the MASCHINE Content Library (amongst your own of course)?

While you can surely use all the content that you purchased in a royalty free way, these samples are licensed to you as the one who purchased them and our content was not exactly designed to be "given away for free" if you build sample packs from it. So please understand that this it not the use case that we put a lot of effort into or provide tutorials for ;)

This is exactly what I was getting at with my query about the issue involving the factory or user library.

Is it now the case that factory samples are not copied when saving with samples though? I know it did not used to be the case, as it drove me crazy that saving with samples would duplicate factory samples that any MASCHINE users would already have access to (hence not being a problem for collaboration).

    Hey Folks.
I just had a look and here's how it works for me:

Upon "Save with Samples", all 16 Sounds are being stored in a separate folder correctly, regardless of whether they are part of factory content, expansion content or not. Also no duplicates are created in the library (unless the destination where the files are being saved to are added in my library). Looks pretty much fully functional and working as expected on my end.

So if you save them to a path that is not being monitored by your library - you won't have any duplicates. Also you can rename the Sounds of you custom kits accordingly, to being able to differentiate if you want to have them as part of you library.

MarcoScherer Please make sure, that the checkbox "Delete Unused Files" is NOT checked upon saving with samples. Otherwise it will only export Sounds that have MIDI notes placed in the Sequencer and therefore maybe skip some.

If I am missing something here, please help me out. I don't see a problem with this particular feature at the moment and can't reproduce the case of some samples not being saved.
