    Hey guys
does anyone how how to sync samples?
I'm playing a loop and when I send it to the sample section all samples are out of sync even with samples.
Sample 1 does not sync with sample 2 and the deck...
is there a way to sync them?

    thanks
    greg

not sure how exactly they sync with your decks. Are your grids correct on the songs your playing? Also you can always switch the deck controls to C or D and pitch bend the samples with your jogs to get them perfect. Or you could do it with the playing track.

Do they sync with the master clock....?

Does beatgridding samples work when syncing with tracks..?

Not really got into the sample decks yet.... !

i've read somewhere that to use the sample decks comfortably in sync, we must use the master clock, deactivating 'auto' option in the clock.

the problem i've experienced when not following this -so, having 'auto' active-, is that whenever the samples are taken from a running track, you stop that track but keep the sample running, then load another track and hit play, even with sync activated it may be played out of sync.

looks to me that sample decks are not able to act as tempo master, so they pass the responsibility to the clock. then, if you hit cue on another deck the tempo master changes the reference from the clock to that deck BUT, the sample continues playing on its own, following the previous clock reference.

if i'm not wrong, i guess the possibility for sample decks to become tempo master should be added for the auto function to work 100%, bombproof.

looking in the manual, it is stated that...

(5.5.3) While samples in Looped mode originally play in sync with the tempo master, the phase synchronization is obviously lost after scratching or tempo bending. You can then press the SYNC button to re-sync the sample slots to the tempo master!

I have exactly the same problem.
All of a sudden none of the sample decks will sync with anything even between them.Even the demo content which has perfct grid and BPM will no sync

First I thought I have changed a setting , but after cheking everything twice I can't make it work again.

probably we should make a request to enable a sample deck to be the master while it is the only deck playing, when working in auto mode. i don't know exactly what implications this may have which may have prevented them from already have this detail implemented. but it is clear that it may lead to confusing situations.

in the meantime, the workaround: when in auto mode you notice that a sample deck is out of sync with a track deck acting as the master, is to switch the focus to that sample deck (either c or d) and hit sync.

yeah I noticed this last night. I ended up just tempo bending the incoming track to match the samples, only problem I can forsee is making sure the incoming track is at the same BPM that was playing before hand. Would make much more sense if the "synced" loops/samples playing alone were acting at as the master. They would have to display the BPM then, no?

In my case it doesn't sync no matter what I select .
Even with 2 main tracks playing in sync and the tempo set to master the sample decks are not in sync.
I tryed selecting them as active , but didn't make any difference.
It was perfectly fine 1-2 days ago so I am guessing i must have changed somthing in the settings.

Ok I'm a bit confused and I am pretty sure its me and not the hardware or software, but if I have a song playing in Deck A or B and lets say its playing at 125 BPM and I load a Sample Loop at 120 BPM, but I want to manually sync the loop myself basically I want to control the tempo of the sample deck is this possible? Sometimes I will load a sample and it just loses it and slllllllllllllllllooooooooowwwwwwwwwws down or goes way 2fast.

It relyes on the beagrid and the BPM so if these are wrong it will not sync.
Just noticed something else. It seems that it work fine with the original loops , but I did some taging and after thiseven though the BPM beatgrid is set correctly and looks identical to the original it will not sync properly.
at the end of each loop it makes a small pause before it reloops again and this messes up the whole thing.
I tried saving the loop when loaded a a normal track , but it didn't make any difference it still makes this pauese at the end of each loop

    I found out my problem.
I converted all my samples from wav to mp3 so I can add genre, artist , title etc. and after the conversion traktor no longer can sync the sample.

What I believe should be requested is for sample decks to have ability to act as a master tempo like a track deck have the ability to use the tempo fader to adjust tempo manually
