Has anyone tried sampling from Traktor Pro into Maschine with any success?

The way I tried to set this up was by having my output master channels set to Channel A (L/R) in Traktor and using same as my input channels in Maschine. When I enable recording in Maschine and enable playback in Traktor, no signal is detected by Maschine. This is in both threshold and sync recording modes.

You need a virtual audio cable of some sort to get the audio between apps.

Yep, sure thing. Was just wondering if the channel could be routed between the two. Out comes Audacity and Jack.

    Traktor and Maschine Sampling

I have a Pioneer DJM 800 and Audio DJ8 Traktor pro and the Maschine, the reason i bought the maschine was with the mind set to be able to sample a loop or whole track into a patten via a slice and have the whole nights set up in slices where I wanted the tracks to start and end, but be in perfect tempo. As I have a windows computer, bad move! It was a mission to sync my Maschine and Traktor. I found midi yoke plug in to solve this problem and since then I can sample a whole track or just the section I want via traktor. The idea is to have the line up for the night set in 8 groups of 16 tracks and different patten samples of the tracks lined up in the perfect set, using traktor as the input.
You don't need to worry about midi sync to sample from traktor, its just helpful when you are remixing from samples and playing live.
My advice here is use the mixer record out into the input in the Audio dj 4, so lose deck 4 then input that channel as the input for maschine so you have external input in maschine. Make sure you set up the input in maschine to the channels 3/4 (i'm not sure about the audio dj 4) as I have the audio dj 8 channel 7/8 for record, and in sampling in maschine set the record to ext and detect. In the master clock in traktor set it to auto.

The coolest thing is I can sample sections of a track and play them in maschine and record the mix in Traktor

Sample from traktor into maschine re-record the mix into traktor is the goods

    cheers

you can also use SoundFlower, a free audio virtual router by cycling 74,

you won't need any physical cable and so you will spare all your physical ins and outs ;)

    cheers
