saving samples

    hello,

    can anyone suggest a reason that i can only sometimes save the samples with the patch. other times i am only allowed to save the sample paths.

    also, what is the ideal location for samples, especially large ones. should they be on an external hard drive or does that tax the CPU.

    my samples take forever to load. i just scanned the drive, that seemed to help though i don't really understand what that does.
