    Hello!
I've been a Maschine user for a number of years, and in 2013 I bought Maschine 2.0, which came with a rhodes piano sound called Scarbee Mark 1.

After having some issues getting my maschine controller to work with the latest mac OS, I updated all my NI software. Now when I open my projects, the Scarbee Mark 1 and the Kontact 5 player are running in demo mode!

Has anyone else had this issue and do you know how to fix it?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi D-One, thanks for that suggestion. Unfortunately that just made the Scarbee Mark 1 disappear from Native Access all together! Has anyone else ran into this problem? It says the Kontakt 5 player is a demo too. Please help! I need those sounds, I use the Scarbee Mark 1 in most of my tunes!

Anyone else had problems with software running in demo mode? (When you fully own the serial number etc)

Are you sure it's not on the "Not installed" tab ? The link I shared is to remove it then there is another article link at the bottom on how to re-install without redownloading.

I would reinstall both Kontakt and the library since you updated the OS.
It's a pretty common problem if you search. If you're still lost ask in the Kontakt forum since this is not really a Maschine problem, you will probably get more answers there. Or contact support.

    Thanks D-One

I contacted support before I posted here on Wednesday, still no reply. I'll try the Kontakt forum :)

I have noticed they take a little while to reply on some occasions, but are generally helpful.

With regards to your issue..... I have a similar issue on PC with Battery being in demo mode.

The advice given by support is to ensure that within NA, your download and installation preferences are correct.

Then reinstall the products. Open the products as a stand alone product. Next step is to go to your user documents and delete the XML files for both products and NA.

That hasn't worked for me as I am unable to locate the XML files atm.

Quick update. I got a reply from Native Instruments support. They said that the Scarbee Mark 1 product has been discontinued but is now part of vintage keys. The support agent said I should find this Kontakt library in native access but it isn't there. He also included a link to Vintage Keys on their website, which costs 150 euros. I'm now even more confused, it kinda seems like they're trying to make me buy it again!

I asked for clarification and will update this thread again when I have more info. In the meantime if anyone else uses Scarbee Mark 1 and has managed to gain access to Vintage Keys (without having to pay the 150) please let me know how! Thanks :)
